Hennessey gets in the Christmas spirit by seeing how fast a Christmas tree will go while strapped to the roof of a 2018 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Widebody – 174 mph!

Test Date:  December 15, 2017

Location:  Continental Tire Proving Grounds – Uvalde, Texas – same place where HPE ran first Mustang to 200+ mph (207.9 mph with Jay Leno in 2015) and first Gen6 Camaro to 200+ mph (202 mph in 2016)

Vehicle: 2018 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Widebody – 100% stock – 707 bhp

Performance:
Top speed with suction cup roof rack and no Christmas tree:  177 mph
Top speed with Christmas tree:  174 mph

Driver:  Brian Smith, director of the Ford Performance Racing School, driver of the world’s fastest convertible, 265 mph Venom GT
